Hi, my name is Gemma, I am 30 years old and live in Eastbourne (the sunshine coast), I have worked in events and weddings for many years and loved every aspect of planning the perfect event!

I discovered my love for floristry three years ago, when the world was put on hold during the global pandemic, but my imagination was let free to explore the world of floral beauty!

Living in the south coast and being near some of the UK’s top nature attractions, I would spend many long days admiring and exploring our countryside which inspired me to create some of that beauty at home!

I would find myself getting lost in the woods foraging for hours to find the perfect flowers to take home to arrange, it was there where I discovered a silver dollar plant already dried to perfection! I couldn’t believe that although it was dried it looked just as beautiful! I then spent the next few weeks drying out other types of flowers at home to create the perfect bouquet!

It was very exciting times for me, as I was also planning my own wedding and had now decided that I now wanted my make my own wedding flowers, so I enrolled myself onto a wedding floristry course and I absolutely loved every moment!

It was then when my business first started online selling dried flower arrangements for people’s homes, and before I knew it, I had received my first wedding enquiry to create flowers for a local wedding!

There is so much that goes into creating the perfect arrangement! Every arrangement is totally unique and beautiful in its own way.

Before I design any arrangement, I like to imagine the story that my client has visualised, whether it’s for a wedding, a party, or a corporate event! The story will play a huge part in what florals will be required!

I am inspired by nature in all my designs, I like to play with different textures and find flowers to use that really do bring out the story, every flower symbolises its own meaning!

Then it’s the fun part of bringing the design  to life!
